Bilyana Slaveykova says she is a journalist by education and a multi-platform content creator ... by coincidence.

She has been working as an editor (going up the ladder from trainee to editor-in-chief) in magazines for nearly six years when she noticed the communication gap that exists between PR people / brands and journalists. With the idea of making this connection functional - for the PR people to have their meaningful information published, and journalists to get the exciting story they are looking for (a win-win situation) - together with a friend she founded a small PR agency, with UPSURT (a popular hip-hop band) as first clients.

Eventually, things turned around so that her marketing enthusiasm was appreciated among the tech circles, and she traveled to 10 countries from all around the world for a year to end up as long-term based in London, UK. In the process, Bilyana decided to continue creating content - not for a foreign media, but for herself. Taking advantage of the opportunity to be your own media, she currently has her own blog and podcast called GIRLS WE ARE. Her Instagram account has nearly 22,000 followers and content that is interesting both for her readers and attractive for companies with which she has a long-term commitment: Samsung, Bioderma, Answear, Fashion Days, Biologique Recherche, Tresemme and others. She says there are two types of online profiles - those that have followers and others that have voyeurs - if you're looking to create content that makes you one of the first, you can get ideas on how to do it in a meeting with her.

Bilyana is also a cocktail enthusiast and jokingly started organizing cocktail classes under the name Disaster to Master. In them, amateurs learn from professionals more about mixology, how to balance flavors and prepare good drinks even at home. Pre-pandemic tickets for the events are sold out in minutes, and at the moment the project is paused and eagerly waiting until it is safe for classes to start happening live again.
