Huge recognition for us and for our initiative #endHIVbg from the World Health Organization (WHO) on the occasion of World HIV / AIDS Day. Bulgaria is one of the few countries in the world that does not offer the opportunity for home testing for HIV, a problem we are actively working on.

In 2019, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights conducted a pan-European LGBTI survey. More than 1,800 people from Bulgaria and nearly 140,000 from all countries participated. The Single Step Foundation was one of the organizations that promoted the study in Bulgaria. Thanks for sharing the stories.
On March 6, the Single Step Foundation and the Bilitis Resource Center Foundation presented the report “Attitudes towards LGBTI Students in Bulgarian Schools”, which was prepared on the basis of a national survey conducted for the 2017/2018 school year. The video is a preview of the summary of the report.
With great excitement we want to share with you that during the first LGBT workshop for young artists – CampOUT a wonderful song was born, which received its video premiere on May 15. The directing and video processing was taken care of by Petar Angelov, who was also part of CampOUT. The video includes a large part of the other participants, which makes us even more proud, because we managed to create something more – friendships.

With our #endHIVbg initiative, we continue our mission to provide comprehensive and specific services to our community, not on a campaign basis, but in search of sustainable solutions to our community’s problems.
Ivan Dimov started fundraising the first donations to the Foundation through his campaign of 12 marathons in 12 days. We created a video about his efforts and successes.
Be Yourself was born as a small, personal project designed to inspire young people everywhere to remain true to themselves. Created by Single Step with the generous, pro bono support of a group of international professionals, companies and partners, the video is an artistic expression of courage, of the freedom to express yourself and create community.
We dedicate this video to all LGBTI youth who have been bullied. Single Step provides an online chat through which you will find understanding and support. You are not alone.
On the occasion of National Coming Out Day, we present Tony, a trans man whose story of the long journey of discovery has deeply touched and excited us. Thanks to Tony for his courage and candor!
