GenerationArt: Iva Todorova

Kostadin Krustev – Koko – part of CampOUT
Ivan Ginchev and Antoniya Yordanova – Mentors, Part of CampOut

Iva Todorova, 18, from Sofia

She is the second artist selected to be part of #GenerationArt

Iva is 18 from Sofia. She studies architecture and has been involved with music since she was 5. She has also been playing the guitar for 7 years now. She says that although architecture and music are very different they are both parts of her, and she can not choose what she prefers more yet.

I love to sing and be on stage. There is something magical about seeing how many people listen to you.

Iva is working hard to achieve her dreams. As a child, she grew up in a family that respects classicism, renaissance, and jazz. Her family chose to cover all the walls of the apartment with more paintings than those walls could fit, she says. Her father is an animation artist, winner of many animation awards.

She, however, does not have much time left after architecture and singing. She loves to spend time at home, unlike her sister, who is a seeker of adventures to serve as her main inspiration for writing the lyrics of their songs.

Speaking of IVA, we can not miss the other part of the duo - her sister Elena. She is responsible for the lyrics and the good mood, in her opinion. Elena is the older of the two sisters. They grew up together but they were not close until Iva participated in the Voice of Bulgaria. It is the music that has brought them closer together, and although Elena lives in Barcelona, they manage to deal with their busy schedules and to continue making music together.

I have no idea what style our music is, but probably Paul Signac did not know he was a neo-impressionist, too!

We also do not know what their style is, but we know that we like it! Therefore, we will leave the right to define their style to you. You can hear their music on YouTube.
